Japanese cotton is a natural fiber with a soft hand. It is the fabric we use most on the US store, across eight styles. Every one is designed in-house, handcrafted in the UAE and quality-checked before it ships.

Cotton thobes cover the widest choice of cuts and colors in one place, so this is a good page to browse if you have not settled on a style yet.

How to choose a Japanese cotton thobe

Start with the cut, then the color.

For a collar thobe, the M113 White Collar Thobe With Gold Embroidery is our best-selling US thobe. The M126 Midnight Blue Collar Thobe With Gold Buttons is a darker option with gold buttons along the chest.

For a collarless Emirati cut, the M121 Black Emirati Thobe With Gold Embroidery keeps the gold detail understated.

For everyday wear, our Omani cuts are $69.99. The M119 Aqua Blue Omani Thobe is a light, easy color for warm days.

Fabrics: cotton or wrinkle-resistant?

Choose cotton if you prefer a natural fiber and a soft feel. Choose wrinkle-resistant fabric if you need a thobe that holds its shape through travel or a long event. Compare both by browsing our wrinkle-resistant thobes. For more collarless styles, see our Omani thobes.

Every cotton thobe comes in 18 sizes. Height sets the length: 5'3"–5'5" is a 52, 5'10"–5'11" a 58 and 6'0"–6'2" a 60. Build sets the chest width: M for slim, L for regular, XL for wide. Check the care label before washing. Our thobe size finder helps you choose.
