A white thobe is the most traditional choice in menswear across the Gulf. Many Muslim men choose white for Friday prayer and Eid. It is also a clean, simple option for weddings and summer gatherings.

How to choose a white thobe

Decide how much detail you want. The M113 White Collar Thobe With Gold Embroidery has gold embroidery down the chest. It is our best-selling US thobe, priced at $87.99. It works well when you want to look dressed up without wearing a darker color.

For something plain and classic, the M73 White Saudi Collar Thobe has a Saudi collar with a front flap. At $59.99, it is a good everyday white thobe, and a sensible choice if you want more than one.

Fabrics

The M113 is made from Japanese cotton, a natural fiber that feels soft against the skin. The M73 is polyester, which keeps the price lower. If you want more cotton options in other colors, browse our Japanese cotton thobes.

Sizing

Every white thobe comes in six lengths (52, 54, 56, 58, 60 and 62 inches) and three chest widths. M is a slim fit, L is regular and XL is wide. As a guide, men 5'8"–5'9" usually take a 56, and men 5'10"–5'11" a 58. A traditional thobe falls just above the ankle. Use our thobe size finder to check yours.

When to wear it

White suits Eid prayer, Jumu'ah, nikah ceremonies and warm-weather events. If you want a fuller formal look, see our collar thobes and wedding thobes.
